at what age did you let you DC -update
start feeding or try to start feeding them self?

eta: I mean when do you start letting them use the spoon them self's. TIA

Around 7 months. But they still will eat off a spoon at 14 months most times(like with yogurt)

DD is 13 months and is interested in using the spoon or fork, just the other day she took the fork and put a piece of food on it from her tray, but didn't put it to her mouth...that last step we're still working on... but she mainly self feeds with her fingers or I feed her off a spoon/fork

I don't remember how old she was, but we started letting her use a spoon & fork when she started taking it out of our hands while feeding her.

About a year old. He started at daycare. He won't eat anything now without a spoon or fork.
