Haven't done that yet, but will in about 4weeks when I'm in the hospital having #2.

About 20 months with the first - - for our anniversary went to London. Mostly because we took him many places with us and never really had babysitters for overnights. The second we went away for the weekend when he was 3 months just upstate NY again for our anniversary.

The only time I've been away from either one at night was when I was having the 2nd.

when I had baby # 2 and was in the hospital for 3 days. Jake was 2 1/2 years old.

NEVER..... hes good with them but i dont know if im ready to do that yet.they will be 2 in april.. i mgiht be going to vegas in july without them soo well see then.

See thats my issue - I don't know if I am ready - but when do you know if you are ever ready

There is going to be a baby shower in FL for my SIL.

My other SIL from LI wants to go and I am torn about going. Everyone keeps telling me I need to get away - but I don't know.



We would leave VERY early on a Saturday morning and get home very late on Sunday night, if we go.

I am with her 24/7 so I don't even know how she will handle it.
Even the way it is now is, I am the one that puts her to bed every night, she won't let DH do it and she 19 months old

At 8 weeks-my first week back from maternity leave I had to go out of town for 3 nights. However, I was so emotional about it that his mom flew in a stayed at the house with him.

Just last week (5.5 months), I left them alone for 2 nights when I again had to go out of town for business. This time he did it solo and he did a great job. I don't know that you are ever really ready, I think you kind of just have to let them do it.

I never have but I really only anticipate that when I give birth again.....and I am not even pregnant.

I left him with our son when I had the girls.
I'm going this weekend. (my son is 6 1/2 girls are 2) Not sure if I'm ready. Though I trust him that he do fine without me. I just hate that I won't be there. But, I know I'm going to have a good time. And hope it evens it out. LOL

I haven't left him with DS overnight yet, but I have been away for the better part of a day and also went out with some friends last Saturday night. Things were fine.

I would leave him with DH overnight though, if I needed to do so.

When DS was 3, and DW was having DD.... Not that she didn't trust me, just that she never left the house without us.

When he was a few months old. She will be fine. She needs this as much as you do.

6 days. I was readmitted into the hospital for delivery complications. DH was a single dad for 4 days. He was AMAZING!!!!!

Kaitee was 14 months old (the night I had Chelsea). It was only 1 night.

Just under a year I went away to NJ to scrapbook with some firends. They all had a great time, but he is with them the same amount of hours a day that I am becuase of our schedules.

I say go, I am sure it will be fine.

IMO you should absolutely leave your DD with your DH and go. If you are not there, she will have to let him put her to sleep at night. It will probably be a good thing, your DH should be able to so you can get a break once in awhile and if you're not there, you can't get involved. I bet it will be a very good chance for them to do Daddy Daughter bonding and give you a break for a few days. GO!!

My oldest was 7 and my other one was 22mos and it was when I was in the hospital having number 3
