At what point does being preggo become fun?
I am 7 weeks today and I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Every night DH tells me that I look like I was hit by a truck. I have a cold so I know that is adding to my misery, but I just feel like poo. My m/s is out and about every day...at what point did you start to enjoy being pregnant?

For me, it just started to get bearable and I am 19 weeks. I know others start to feel better around 12-16 weeks.

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
I looked awful in the beginning, I felt like I looked green! I'd say by 12 weeks I was a lot used to the nausea and had found ways to cope with it so I started looking more like myself. I didn't start enjoying being pregnant until my MS ended (15-16 weeks). I am so much happier now that it's behind me. Just hang in there it gets SO much better in the 2nd trimester.

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
Honestly I enjoyed it right from the start BUT that being said the first trimester was VERY hard for me in terms of exhaustion. I had ZERO energy from the moment I conceived until I was in the 2nd trimester. And I don't mean a little sleepy........I mean drop dead exhaustion where keeping my eyes open was a total chore. I would get home from work at 4:30, sleep, eat dinner around 6:30, sleep until my DH woke me up to go to bed at 11:00. I was a sleeping machine. Hang in there though because I thought the 2nd trimester was WONDERFUL!!! The exhaustion went away and I had energy, I just felt really, really good!!!

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
the first tri wasn't too bad for me - other than the nausea and not being able to drink
the second tri, once i started showing, was a lot of fun as well... especially once i went shopping for new clothes!! pregnant women look good in anything
but honestly i prefer the third tri because i get to feel the baby all the time and i LOVE how big my belly has gotten! i am going to miss it

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
I'd say "fun" around 20 weeks. That's when I started "showing" for real, thats when the regisrty became serious, that when I started feeling
You will be there sooner than you think

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
I am in the same boat you are. Thank god my nausea hasn't been too bad (I only threw up once after an 8 hour car trip), but I am exhausted ALL the time! As I sit here now at work I am struggling to keep my eyes open and dreaming of going out to my car at lunchtime to take a nap.

I wouldn't say I'm having fun yet, but I am definitely enjoying watching my belly grow. I'm 15.5 weeks.

as soon as I hit 12 weeks...I don't think you could PAY me to redo my first trimester. I was absolutely miserable! Now at 22 weeks it's enjoyable and fun!

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
Definitely am looking forward to the 2nd tri. I'm 12 wks and haven't had much m/s but the exhaustion is killing me. I work in NYC and I'm spent by the time I even get to the office.
I must say that exercising helps so much. Sometimes I force myself to go to the gym at lunch even if I can't keep my eyes open..but after my workout..I feel refreshed and less tired.
(Until 4pm hits!)..lol

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
2nd tri definately.
First tri I was constantly sick. Even if a commerical with food came on I was running to the bathroom and hurling. I had to allow extra time in the morning to get ready for work so I could include time to puke. I felt like I had a constant hang over only thing I hadn't been drinking
Second tri I had energy. I could eat. I actually felt "normal"
Third tri is fun because I feel the baby move and I enjoy poking at him and him rolling around. I love talking to him and he kicks me back as if he understands the things I am saying to him.
But the third tri has been physically draining. I cant bend over, I cant see anything below my boobs, I am constantly tired, some days I have no patience, I get out of breath easily, I walk like an old lady plus waddling, I live in FL and it's hot, forget a good night sleep. Takes me forever to get comfortable and I am up and down all night. Leg cramps. oh gosh the leg cramps, I want to cry. I actually hit the point where one night I couldnt roll over and started to cry because DH was sleeping and I felt bad waking him up because he had been working so hard and he was drained from work. Third tri has been rough physically

I had an amnio at 16 weeks b/c of the stupid false positive ultrascreen. ultrascreens SUCK. i hear so many false positive stories. they told me it was a boy yesterday at 17 weeks when amnio results came back.

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
Being sick while pregnant is miserable. Especially since there is so little that you can take for relief.
I think pregnancy is more fun once you can feel the baby move and it's even better when you see the baby move. It makes some of the worse symptoms more bearable.

I wish I could take something to feel better. I've just been trying to stay hydrated and to eat something subtantial at least once a day. And I crash as soon as I get home!

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
My first pregnancy started to get fun around 14-16 weeks. You have the fear & the icky feelings of the first trimester behind you. Plus, that's the time my belly started peeking through & you may start to feel movement anytime after 16 weeks.

After the first tri, when your nausea goes away, and then when you start feeling baby kick, and when DH could feel the kicks...Getting your ultrasound pics, and finding out the sex!!

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
IMO and to be honest, I don't think being pregnant will ever be fun for me, I always knew I wouldn't enjoy it. But I am willing to do whatever I have to do to bring DC to the world
Hang in there, it will get better when you reach 11-12 weeks, I promise! I am 11w3d and is starting to feel like my old self again

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
You want my version of pure honesty? It sucked the first trimester. Got better when I started to show. Now with just about 4 weeks left, it truly sucks. Nothing fun about it for me. Sorry about my brutal honesty but itis what it is. I try to visualize holding my little angel to get me through the tough times and yes, I know I am blessed, but I am not as resilient as I thought I would be. This is not easy on me one bit.

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
I started feeling a lot better by 14-15 weeks. I really started to enjoy it once I could feel flutters, which was around 16 weeks.

Re: At what point does being preggo become fun?
For me, being pregnant is most likely NEVER going to be fun. I have a herniated disc in my back and SEVERE sciatica that has me sleeping roughly 2 hours a night.
I think a back surgery is in my near future
