Has anyone been able to have cell phone service in the Bahamas???

You have to call your carrier and activate your international calling. Then I think it was like $1.50/min. Calls were clear, but I just didnt stay on long. No text/pic/video messaging though. They weren't going through.

I used my phone and didn't pay any extra fee when i was there....I have verizon.

yeah verizon def gets service but im pretty sure you need to all them and change your plan for how much you will be harged a minute

I have Verizon and had service.. Beware of ROAMING though.. THAT will get you on your bill!!!

I just got my cell phone bill today from when I was away. 12 minutes of roaming was $23.88  but I knew that going in... I just wanted to be able to call and check in here and there.
