I can't believe I'm going to be a mommy in less then 2 months! This pregnancy flew by!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The nursery is painted, DH has to refresh the floors, fix up the closet a little and put the furniture together. I still have days that it hasnt' hit me that we're going ot have a baby!!!

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

Doing pretty good here. I'll be 32 weeks on Thursday. I am tired ALL THE TIME. I don't know how I'm going to manage the next 8 (or more) weeks.

The nursery is all ready, I just have to wash everything, which I guess I'll do a little at a time. I'm only up 8 lbs. so far, and feeling kinda guilty about that, but the doc says I'm measuring exactly where he wants me, so that's good. It's an excuse to add a little ice cream to my daily diet. Chat Icon

I'm more nervous about getting to the hospital than about labor, so I guess that's good (that I'm not stressing about it, I mean). I think we're pretty much ready - just waiting on Chat Icon at this point!

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

33 weeks tomorrow!!!
Can't even believe we've made it this far!!!
Growth sono at 31 weeks showed BabyMack measuring in at 4lbs 6 ounces and 17 inches..we'll be having another on 6/30.
Still on bedrest - it might be prolonged to 35/36 weeks just to get him to term.
Dealing with Gestational Diabetes - diet and insulin at night only...but it's not that bad...hell, what else do I have to do besdies check my blood sugar.Chat Icon
Gained about 9 pounds so far - was up 12 but lost a ton when I went on bedrest.

Nursery is painted, rug is in, crib and bookshelf are together, dresser is being assembled this week. Hospital bag is mostly packed (just in case) and we haven't washed a single item of baby clothing yet!

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

I am 33 weeks. I am not as tired as i used to be which is better but this horrible hemmorhoid is causing me so much trouble. They can't remove it because they would have to give me general anesthesia, which they can't do while im pregnant and if i go into labor, i can't push so they are talkin g about taking the baby early by c-section. I find out for sure friday afternoon. If it weren't for the pain killers i wouldn't even be able to walk.
That is the worst part of it though.
The nursery is pretty much done, just waiting on the nursery letters so i can hang them and then it is OFFICIALLY done!
Baby Chat Icon is good, she is moving all over the place, though she is quiet today. Other than me getting a little nervous knowing that she will be here soon and the whole labor thing, we are doing good!!

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

33 weeks here... but at my last Dr's appt, they said I'm about 2 weeks ahead. (so maybe 35 wks?)

Still in the negative as far as weight goes, but not by much. Only 4 or 5 lbs or so.

Baby was 4lbs 4oz at 30wks, haven't had a sono since then and won't until the end, barring any complications.

I'm doing OK energy-wise. I get these weird little spurts, which explains why I put the stroller together at 10pm one night. Chat Icon I'm still working regular hours - out of the house at 7:45am, back home at 5:45pm. Last night, I even went to Costco after work!

All the baby clothes (up to 3-6 months size) are washed and in his dresser, and everything larger than 6 mos is packed away in rubbermaid totes.

Baby shower stuff is still littering the nursery - I'll have to tackle that again tonight. The crib isn't in yet - we were told to expect a call to schedule delivery by the end of June. I haven't washed the bedding yet (waiting for the crib to come in).

I'm lucky that I haven't had any swelling whatsoever yet. Still wearing my normal work shoes, rings, etc. I DO feel like my belly got a little lower though. I was able to wear some regular non-maternity pants under the belly until this past weekend. Not anymore!

Baby is kicking/punching less, but overall turning and shifting more. Last night his big ol' butt was jutting out of my side like a rump roast. Chat Icon DH thought it was hilarious. I'm going to miss having him all to myself once he comes out!

Going for our hospital tour at SB on 7/4...bought Laugh & Learn about Childbirth DVD in lieu of taking a class. Cheaper, easier on the schedule, and hopefully good enough. Haven't watched it yet though.

Called the church and got baptism availability information and pre-req class info/schedule. I have to sit down with DH one of these days and figure out how many people we have all together so we can look into party locations.

I'm really excited and I want him here NOW! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

I'm 31 weeks.

I feel good most of the time. Mornings I'm very tired and I'm usually crampy and uncomfortable. It makes getting to work on time near impossible.

I have no appetite lately. I eat the smallest thing and I'm full for hours. Quite the contrast to the first trimester when I needed to eat hourly.

I'm definitely swelling, but I'm still wearing my rings.

I had my baby shower this past weekend. Most stuff went straight to storage. We're keeping the newborn and 0-3m clothes and the infanct carseat at the house. I wont set anything up until mid-August, so we'll go back to storage then.

No baby furniture yet. Still waiting for delivery from BBB.

Too busy at work to even think about giving birth until August!

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

I will be 31w tomorow. Still feeling great as I have throughout the pregnancy. I am up 30lbs at this point but I can see my hunger diminishing.

We did our hospital tour & are very excited to be delivering there. I have watched my Laugh & Learn breastfeeding video, which I found informative. I am going to start the childbirth video when I get home today. We have our first growth sono on Tuesday & I am so excited to see how big Chat Icon is. I have a feeling he is bigger then he should be.

The nursery is all painted, just waiting on the furniture which should be here mid July. DH installed the closet sytem & right now I am organizing what we have. I will be washing the baby's clothes from nb through 3 months this weekend along with the bedding. My shower is Saturday, so we look forward to getting everything else in order.

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

34 weeks here and feeling pretty good overall! I can't believe how time is flying though.

No idea how much weight I've gained... my midwife doesn't make me keep track. I'm measuring fine and feel good, so I'm happy.

Exhaustion is kicking in pretty bad, but I can usually get through the morning and afternoon alright. I have a daily yoga practice, which I find helps a lot to keep my energy up and stress down.

We're having a home birth, so we've been spending a lot of time preparing the house. The nursery is almost complete - just waiting for some odds and ends to arrive.

The bulk of my time lately has been spent washing things. Holy moly! We're cloth diapering, and just washing the diapers took 2 days. I'm on to clothes now. I'm hoping to have it all done by the end of the week.

I think the most fun I've had recently was having some pregnancy photos taken. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it, but it was so much fun!! Now I'm in the midst of designing an album for them, as well as designing albums for my showers and for the pregnancy itself. And since I'm so picky, I can't find a baby book I like, so I'm making that too. I think maybe I'm insane!

Glad to catch up with everyone and hear how you're all doing! Can't wait 'til we all meet our little ones.

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

I love reading up on everyone's status - great idea!!

I am 32 weeks, and feeling good - still sleeping like a champ, maybe only 1 pee stop in the middle of the night.

Appetite is weening a bit, but up 22 lbs over all, right on track I guess.

Chat IconThe suspense is killing me - 54 ish days until we find out...

Had our hospital tour, and looking forward to delivering there... still not freaking out about labor, looking forward to meeting the little one!

Nursery is done! Clothes need to be washed and hospital bag needs to be packed.

Had our shower on the 13th - it was amazing - got everything!!! Have yet to put together the items.... but that will happen in due time, I am not worried.

Had our growth sono @ 30 weeks - and they said the baby was about 3.5 lbs.... don't know if I will be getting another?!?!

The baby has been moving around ALOT lately - and I love it! gonna miss it.

Really can't believe how quickly this pregnancy is going!

Best of luck to all of you ladies - lets check in again soon!!!

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

Time is flying I can't believe we are all almost mommies!!!

I am 31 weeks 2 days!!! So excited and really feel that the time is just rolling along I hope the next 2 months fly as well!

My shower is this weekend and I am so excited!

I feel pretty good most of the time! No stretch marks yet so keeping my fingers crossed I am up 25 pounds which is fine with me except I hate the cellulite which has formed and I never had before Chat Icon I can't wait to work out!!!

The nursery is painted, rug in, chandelier installed and waiting for this dang furniture!!

We had our hospital tour and have our pediatric interviews starting in July. Had my growth sono last week and the little one is a little over 3 pounds, they say it should be around 7 pounds or so at birth. No lamaze for us, just watching the Laugh and Learn DVDs and enjoying them!

We have a maternity shoot this sunday (gabbie you have yours too!) I am glad to see all you August girlies are doing well!!!

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

Well, I'm either 32 or 33 weeks. There has been a discrepency with my DD since the beginning, so we kind of just run with it. I had a growth sono last week because I was feeling some pressure and my little man was measuring 4 lbs. 11 oz. I have another sono this Thursday so they can measure my cervix again, but I am not feeling the pressure feeling anymore, so it must have just been the baby. I am up 7 pounds so far, and very excited of the thought that I may weigh less coming out of this pregnancy than going in!! Getting extremely excited about seeing my little boy!!!

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

Can I join you?

My EDD WAS September 2nd, but I will not be going past 39 weeks and will be induced at the end of August if I do not go into labor on my own before that.

Our nursery is painted, area rug in, furniture set up and some little things here and there that we have gotten along the way. Still have to get a toy box and some more accessories but other than that- it's done.

I am 30w1d and have much to do in the next few months. I still have to schedule the mandatory c-section class and hospital tour. I have to pack my hospital bag, which I won't do until about 34/35 weeks. Finish the nursery, wash everything, have my baby shower, clean my whole apartment top to bottom.

I'm exhausted just thinking about it.Chat Icon

Speaking of being exhausted- I amChat Icon I sleep well at night, only waking up once a night to pee- always around the 3am mark. But I still just have barely any energy. I am attributing it to my anemia and the iron pills aren't helping.

I passed my 3 hour GTT- hip hip hooray!

I am beginning to get uncomfortable, my back and ribs are killing me every day. I cannot WAIT to find out if this baby is a Chat Icon or a Chat Icon .

Whew- that was long!Chat Icon

Re: August Mommies - CHECK IN

I'm 33 wks today Chat Icon I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy went...it's bittersweet...on one hand I can't wait for Chat Icon to be here and on the other hand I cherish every moment I have him inside of me Chat Icon I'm doing ok, get bouts of exhaustion just like the first trimester...I'm itchy, b!tchy and huge Chat Icon I'm actually measuring big and I have an OB appt next Tuesday so hopefully he will send me for a growth sono..I have no idea how much this kid weighs so far, but I have a feeling he's big....I think he may even be an end of July baby vs. an August arrival...

I had my shower a few weeks ago, pretty much have everything we need, but still picking up odds and ends. I just realized today I don't have basic stuff like baby powder and vaseline. We are in the process of getting the nursery ready and stocked. I didn't wash any clothes yet but plan to this weekend. DH and I still have to put together things like the PNP and stroller..I've been on him about that.

Did our maternity tour last week, have a christening class on 7/8, a newborn basics class on 7/11 and then a breastfeeding class on 7/13. I just ordered the Laugh & Learn about Childbirth DVD, I've been trying to get it from the library for months and can never get it ...so I ordered it on Amazon used but like new. Have to also start getting my hospital bag together..OMG so much to do.

Looking into daycare and babysitter options but it's breaking my heart Chat Icon I can't fathom leaving him with anyone else Chat Icon

Still working full time and it's tough...exhausted during the day and trying to finish up things before I go on leave.

Sleeping ....still toss and turn 50 times a night, get up to pee at least 2-3 times, have bad sciatica in my left hip, heartburn that wakes me up and stuffy nose (breathe right strips help)...

BUT - getting close to Chat Icon 's arrival and SUPER excited!! (and nervous!)
