Auto Insurance Question?
If someone hits your parked car, then leaves, is it no fault?
will ur insurance rates go up? (thers a dent on the car that needs to be fixed)

NO, it shouldnt.
-is the claim worth putting in?
You need to meet your deductible so if the damage isnt to much afterwards, also consider whether worth it.

its about 1200-1500 worth of damage-dent on side of car +paint work
we wont hav eto pay the deductible-we know the guy

I just want to let everyone know if your car gets hit and you don't report it, if your insurance company finds out they can drop you if they want.
You are supposed to report every time your car gets hit. Whether you report it or not is up to you.
This would also be a collision claim in case anybody was asking.

Well if you go through the ins, after the appraisal they will mail you the check for the estimated amount MINUS your deductible...so yes you wil have to pay it. Unless, you decide to get the work done elsewhere for a lot cheaper.

no fault has nothing to do with a car hitting a parked car -- it comes into play when one or more parties is injured -- if there are no injuries there can be no no fault involved. hope that helps.
