I let him explore for a sec just while I'm getting his diaper on. once in the bath he was not giving up! i kept pulling his hand away , but he hasn't really done it since.

DS does it once in a while, he's 6 1/2 months. I leave him be unless it looks really painful the way he grabs it!  Not that he cares! I called DH in once to ask if that would hurt if he did it! He said yes!  I guess it's not as sensitive yet.

Maybe I'm bad, but I always kind of made a joke about it with him... not a big deal, just sort of a "ummm - hello? What you doing down there? " And letting him know that it is his penis so I can also educate him about the less seen body parts. It was very light hearted and then the phase just went away... I thought it was kind of cute how excited he was to find it. When they are 35, not so cute anymore
