WALKING distance, not really... Shinn Estates Vineyard is the only one that I can think of off the top of my head that has an Inn attached to it... it's supposed to be very nice, but is expensive, I believe.

It depends on who you are going with and how much you are honestly planning on drinking.... DH and I have stayed in Greenport and driven home same day - we usually share a flight at the winery and then relax for a while at the same one... One of us will usually skip the last winery and drive home, the flights are NOT a lot of alcohol at all... We also always bring food with us, usually a picnic of sandwiches and salads and we usually stop at the Village Cheese shop in Mattituck for cheese.

I'm not sure there ARE any on Long Island. You may have better luck at the upstate vineyards.

LOL, gotcha! I would book the hotel/inn/B&B, and ask the concierge if they can recommend a car service to drive you around - I'm 99% they offered it when we were out there last overnight.

Sannino Vineyards B and B...Not sure if that's what you're looking for, though.

I think your best option would be to book a hotel and then take a cab to the first vineyard-there's a few that once you're there are in walking distance to others, and then take a cab back when you're done

Luckily my DH barely drinks and I am the LUSH of the family! Chat Icon

So I always have a designated driver. If I was married to someone like me in terms of boozing, we'd be spending a TON on cabs etc!
