Babies r us has a new policy going in effect on 8/10.

I think it's that you need a reciept to return things, unless it was on your registry?? But I'm not 100% sure. I have my shower on July 27th so I'll be heading up the next day to do any returns just to avoid any problems!

Toys"R"Us & Babies"R"Us online purchases may be returned within 30 days. Items should be returned in unopened or original condition, with a copy of the packing slip, to our Return Center.
A refund of the price of the item and any applicable taxes will be issued in the original form of payment used to purchase the item. Please note that this also applies to items received as gifts. If you return a gift, the purchaser will receive a refund in the original form of payment they used to make the purchase.
Shipping costs will not be refunded unless the item is being returned because it is damaged or defective. If you are returning an item because it is damaged or defective, please click here for additional details.

That's if you return it by shipping it back. There is another section about returning to the store (you can return online purchases to the store). Its 90 days after the purchase with a reciept.

I called the massapequa store 2 days ago about this change in policy. they said they will need receipts for all returns. BUT if the item is on your registry, you will be able to return it for store credit. so just hope people buy stuff from your registry. I told her I thought we could not get store credit even if it was on the registry, and she her words where, oh no, you would get store credit.

When I had a shower last year if I received a gift that was not on my registry I then put it on the registry. So then you can return the gift.

that doesnt seem to bad. I am assuming of you dont have a gift receipt you get a store credit, which is normal for other stores

From personal experience with that store I will tell you it depends on which manager is working.
