Re: babies sleeping in car seats
Good to know - thanks!
Jake slept in his carseat all the time as a newborn (at night). We used to always angle the seat back by placing towels underneath to prevent that head flexion thing. But it would still happen if he fell asleep while in the seat in the car.
I also found that it was more likely to happen when we used the snap-in base in the car as opposed to using the seat belts to strap the seat in.

Sarah and Andy slept in theirs too, especially if they'd fallen asleep in the car and I just brought them in and left them in there. Who knew?

I found the same to be true. We put a rolled up towel underneath the base to alleviate the head rolling forward when she was in the car too.

Re: babies sleeping in car seats
I used to pull over everytime Liam's head would fall over his chest or on his side. DH thought I was crazy but I said I just didn't think he could breathe well that way. Now it's on paper (so to speak). Thanks. I wouldn't stop putting them in one to sleep (I know some do for refux problems) but just make sure the seat is tilted so the head can't come forward onto the chest. Of course when they can support their own head it shouldn't be a problem anymore...?
