baby having 100.4 fever for few days after shots

My friends 6 mo old baby got her shots 4 days ago. She's been running 100.4 -101 fever since. My friend called the dr and she was told that it can't be from the shots if it's been going on so long, that normally reaction to shots lasts no more than 2 days and to bring the baby in tomorrow(they are closed today)
Does anyone have any experience with this? If your DC had a reaction to the shots how long did it last and what did you do?

I think DS has had a fever for about 3 days or so after a shot but it could be the baby may have had a bug or something w/no symptoms when she got the shot so her body is just fighting off the cold, etc. DS has gotten sick after getting vaccines.

I swear that when DS goes for his well visit and shots he always picks up some sort of a bug at the dr office.

DD had a low fever of 100.5. After one dose of tylenol, it went away. So I don't know, that's a long reaction. Maybe the child is getting sick?

My DS had 100.8 the day after his shots. I called the doc they told me no worries, it's within the normal range and expected. To give him a warm bath and if that dodn't work, then tylenol
