Baby Jogger-City Mini question

I had the Citi-Classic and I returned it because it was to heavy for me to heave in and out of the car a million times a day.

I exchanged it for the City Mini and have a question. Do you snap the 2 buttons from the safety strap everytime you open the stroller? I asked another Mom that today and she said that she never even knew there were buttons there.

When they are snapped, you can't close the stroller- so it's for safety. However, why would you try to close the stroller with the baby in it??!!

I just can't see me snapping them every time I open the stroller. I can see it now... me trying to button those snaps, in the rain, while Ava jumps out of the car into a parking lot, while Brody is yelling..Chat Icon

Re: Baby Jogger-City Mini question

It's in the manual. But I guess if you have been wheeling your baby around without it for 2 months, then it probably doesn't have to be buttoned.Chat Icon

I set it up before I even had her and never noticed it so I guess it is fine...

What is it... so you cant pull the strap easily? Isnt that the POINT of that strap...so you can fold it one handed.

If i wasnt so lazy Id go check it out now.. lol

Re: Baby Jogger-City Mini question

I have seen the straps & no i don't use them. I did maybe once or twice but they are not the easiest to unsnap & I just don't have the patience. I see the point of them, but I just don't think its really necessary.
