I'm in the same boat except both of my boys' names end in -n. I didn't necessarily plan it that way. We loved DS1's name and with DS2, I wanted to use an "A" name to honor my grandfather who passed away right after I found out I was pregnant. My favorite name happened to also end with an -n. We're Team Green again and I'm struggling with whether to use a name ending in -n or something completely different. I'd also like to use something that starts with "C" to honor my grandmother who passed away last year.
I really think you can go either way. I don't think it's as matchy when the ending is the same especially if you have different syllables. Easier said than done, but choose a name you love and try not to worry about how it sounds with the siblings. They're individuals and it really won't matter as they grow up how their names sound with their brothers. This is what I'm trying to tell myself too. 
Thank you! Yeah we didn't really plan their names to both end in -er either. I think Tanner came up as a suggestion with Hunter and I liked it. I guess any 2 syllable name might go! Their names are both also color names as well as occupational names so also looking down that route to see if any of those types of names are nice.
