baby rolling onto belly in crib at night..
My little guy just started rolling like crazy from his back to his belly. He can't roll the other way yet. He had been sleeping great through the night. Maybe whining a little once during the night, but would always put himself right back to sleep. Now that he can roll, he rolls onto his belly and can't get back. We see this in the monitor and go in right away and roll him back, but he keeps doing it. Does anyone use those infant sleep positioners? Any other suggestions on how to do this? The past week we've been up from 2-3am going back and forth flipping him back over. We're exhausted again!

Re: baby rolling onto belly in crib at night..
Yep, we've been having the same problem lately. But DS sleeps on his belly so when he rolls on his back he'll yell until one of us gets up and flips him back on his belly. Sometimes he does this 8-10 times a night. Last night he did it 3 times. Sometimes its not at all. I have no solution for it though, I hope someone does though!

We had that problem with DS too. We tried the infant positioner, but he would still roll over. After about a week or so, he learned to roll onto his back. It was a long few nights of turning him back over when he woke up screaming because he was stuck. But he did start to sleep better on his belly...

Uuuugh we are going through this too and it sucks. DD will be 4 months tomorrow and this has been going on for almost a week and a half. She was sleeping thru the night since 11 weeks and now shes up usually 2-3 times per night. DD #1 did this for a bit but she was almost 6 months and sleeping better. When will it end and go back to normal? Plus im soooo nervous too to make sure she can breathe. She hated the sleep positioner because she wanted to roll.

I never rolled ds or dd back over. If they were able to roll from back to belly and not the other way, they would either sleep on their bellies or figure out how to roll over
I am not the "wake up 1,234 times a night to roll you back over OR put the binky back in your mouth" kind of mom

Ugh seems like so many of us are going through this problem!!!! We are up from 2-3 every night taking turns every few minutes going in there and moving him. I don't want to get in the habit, but if we put him in our bed, he's fine and goes right back to sleep. Its so easy, but I know its soooo bad!

Re: baby rolling onto belly in crib at night..
Unfortunately, I think you just have to deal with it. I don't think you are supposed to use the sleep positioners when they have started rolling over.
Are you rolling him over onto his back because he is crying on his tummy or because you don't want him on his tummy? I know with us, DS and DD would roll onto their tummies and be perfectly happy sleeping that way.
I am sure if he is not used to it yet, it might just take a little time for you to muscle through it until DS gets used to sleeping on his tummy.... or he stops rolling over!
The amazing and annoying thing about babies is that their sleep habits can be disrupted by lots of little things. So they sleep really well, then all of a sudden they aren't sleeping well. So annoying!!!
