Baby Shower Etiquette/dilemma....
just got an invite to my neighbors' shower (the weekend after Easter) and she is due about 10 days before me.
how much should I spend?
Get something off her registry? Be Creative? get diapers/wipes/clothes (maybe I can find NWT stuff on Ebay)?

Re: Baby Shower Etiquette/dilemma....
I would just get her something from her registry.

I would get something from her registry that is in your budget. Since it's her first she probably has specific things in mind that she wants.

I agree unless you see that there is something you really used/loved that she doesn't have on there.
eta: how close are you? do you consider her a good friend? I would decide how much to spend by how much you can afford and how close you are. If you're not that close and are on a budget I would say approx. $30. If you can afford it, I would say $50.

That changes things. Honestly, I would be kinda annoyed that she was having a shower after already having 2 kids.

I would get something off her reg. in your price range, and a pkg of diapers...
Then after the baby was born- buy an outfit or something..
ETA- NM just saw this was her 3rd baby...
a cheap outfit and a pkg of diapers...

In that case I would maybe get her a new outfit and diapers or a gift certificate for herself for a mani or pedi.

I agree with the other ladies. If this is her 3rd, I think an outfit and diapers are fine.
