Baby Shower Guest list
How many people are you planning on having or did you have?
I did a rough list last night since my mother & MIL have started to discuss when, where etc...
I have 57 people - this does not include any children.
I really didn't want more than 30. I'm banking on some of DH's family not coming since they live OOS.
Also, I'm unsure as to weather or not to invite some of DH's family members. He is the youngest of all his first cousins. I speak to 2 of them on FB. The others it is more like an occasional "hi how are you?" thing.
DH thinks I need to invite all his first female cousins - since they all talk & it wouldn't be fair to invite only the 2 I speak to.
I'm still unsure about the children part - there would be 12 if I decided to go that route.

Sorry... IMO you should invite the 1st cousins even if you don't really speak to them all the time.

I am having my shower at my mother's house and it will be a Jack & Jill shower with children welcome to come.
At least 80-90 people will be invited.

It's looking like about 60 on the guest list. My MIL has 30 something on her list alone...I have no idea who the heck she is inviting! Wasn't inticipating such a big list and the original plan was to have it at my moms house. Now that the list is that big we are having it at a place because my moms house just isn't big enough. It's very, very hard to find a place that is under $20pp, we found one, but even after tax and gratuity its a little over that. Oh and it's going to be a few weeks before my due date because no place had anything in May available!

My list had 97 people including little ones. We ended up with about 70 people coming to the shower. my list could've been longer but I paired it down a bit and only invited women.
DH is the youngest of 6 children and his father was the older brother of 6 and this mother the youngest of 5...so needless to say he has a very large family most of which live on LI and all his aunt and uncles and cousins come to all big life events. So that's how I ended up with 70people.
My family is small so in comparison I had more friends than family and my family is mostly older..my friends however nmostly have young children.

I think I had about 35-40 people. I really cut my list because I didn't want a huge shower.
This time around, my sister wants to throw me a sprinkle. If I let her do it, I will probably have no more than 20 people max.

We invited 30 people and had about 25. I cut my baby shower list down alot from the bridal shower list. I wanted the baby shower to be more intimate with my close friends and family

We had a jack and jill shower and had 40+ people. This includes couples and families and on top of that, we had about 8-10 children.

My mom & mil's list is now at 100, so I'm assuming I'll have around 80 or so. I actually had 98 at my bridal shower, so who knows! LOL Lots of partying for the little one!
