babysitting/infant question
If you ever left your DC when they were a few weeks old WITH family...MIL/FIL/MOM/DAD, would they come to your house to watch INFANT child or did you bring DC to their house?

Re: babysitting/infant question
Any family would come to our house to babysit DD. She is 5 months now and I haven't brought her to be babysat outside the house.

Re: babysitting/infant question
My SIL got married when my DD was 1 month old. The wedding was in LI and we live in NJ. We had no choice but to take her with us and leave her with them. I think it is more ideal to have people come to your home, but we really had no choice but to bring our DD over to our families place.

Re: babysitting/infant question
Both sets of our parents have watched DS at their house and our house. We live OOS from them so it depends on what we've got going on.

Re: babysitting/infant question
We've brought the baby to their house. We bring the bouncer for the baby to sit in when DD is not being held.

Re: babysitting/infant question
OKay, I guess I am being "unfair" then...
DD is 3 weeks old and MIL seems to only want to watch her at her house... We wanted to go to dinner tonight and she wanted us to bring DD there...we decided to just bring DD with us to dinner and worked out fine...
I just thought it would be easier for DD to be at our house- she is so little- all of her "things" are here...MIL doesn't have anything for her to sleep in and to bring pack and play for an hour or so dinner seemed like a waste of time and effort...

Re: babysitting/infant question
Both. But my parents have a pnp and swing and play mat there. It depends where we are going. My dad prefers to be at their house and my mom prefers to be here. My MIL always comes here. We will never take him to her house because DH hates step father.
