Babysitting or drop off service at Disney?
If DH and I wanted a drink or meal alone are there places at the hotel that have supervised play or babysitting services in the room? We are staying at PO Riverside.

Babysitting or drop off service at Disney?
I highly recommend the Neverland Club at the Polynesian Resort! My DD LOVES it there. It's Peter Pan themed inside and super cute! and so fun! You could drop him off there (I think they open at 4pm), and they will feed him dinner. You could hop on the monorail to the MK, another resort, or even Epcot.
Your particular resort doesn't have a kids club. You *could* do in room sitting, but he will have much more fun at the kids clubs!

Isnt that far from epcot? did it freak you out leaving him somewhere out of state with stranger and not being nearby? Help me alleviate my fears so I can have a drink!!!

Not really, just hop on the monorail at the TTC that is right next to the Poly. It's just a few minutes ride! There are many children in the kids clubs, and many eyes, so I wasn't uncomfortable at all. They also gave me a pager in case they needed me. It wasn't any different than the cruise ship kids club IMO. It's run by Disney. I left my DD there, not my son (he is too old). She was there while we went to the MK and rode some "big kid" rides. When I picked her up she had autographed pics of characters, arts and crafts, some silly straws, and she didn't want to leave!

At POR no if you want a play place you have to go there ..I think the POLY one is going to close for rehab. None of the mods have one. The alternative is one of the in room services. They are not disney employees but I think the do recommend some companies. Wdw website recommends kids nite out...they are an independent company. In room will take 6 months +. The kids clubs it is 3 or 4 and potty trained. I don't know anyone who used in room. I do know one or two who used the kids clubs. The POLY one was supposed to be the best.

I believe there is also one at the Beach Club which is just a short walk to Epcot. I haven't used them but my sister is planning on it for her upcoming trip. I personally would not use the in room service as I'm more comfortable leaving my child in a "club" atmosphere rather than have a strange person alone in the room with them.

There are several Kid's Clubs. The Neverland just happens to be the only one we used. Allearsnet.com probably has them all listed. They are all at the Deluxe resorts.

Animal Kingdom Lodge has one too. we had the kids in is just 2 weeks ago. they had video games, and movies, and stuff to play with. we went to dinner and the kids ate at the kids club. price would have been the same as taking them to the restaurant, and they had more fun in the club, than sitting at dinner with us. would definitely use it again.

I wouldn't think of it as a babysitting cost, more of a "Disney experience" for the kids that they can't get in the parks LOL

Babysitting or drop off service at Disney?
my kids will be 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 when we go so I cant do the drop off service bc my little one will still be too young. My TA said we can do the in room babysitting but I just dont feel comfortable doing that. Plus I think my kids would have a meltdown if I left them in the room with a stranger while we went out.. That, on top of just not trusting a stranger to watch them in a hotel room... I just dont think I could do it
