Bacholorette Party and 7 Months Preggo
Hi girls. I have a dilemma. My best friend is getting married on June 9 and I'm the maid of honor. I already gave her a nice bridal shower and will be attending the rehearsal dinner on June 7. Keep in mind that all this is in Staten Island and Brooklyn, so I will have to do some traveling from LI. Now she wants me to go to the bacholorette party on June 3..they're getting a limo and they'll of course pick me up in LI then head to the Meadowlands, NJ to attend a horse track thing and dinner. She said we'll have the limo for 7 hours. I just think that's way to too long to be in a car (hello I pee every 20 min!) and then standing around. Besides her mother in law and sisters in law (who I'm not fond of are going). What do you girls think? Should I just suck it up and go. Also she's preggo too! three months, so I was thinking that after our babies are born that the two of us go away for a night somewhere and have some fun.

Do you think she would understand if you dont go? Youve done so much already I think that at 7 months you should have a pass to not go to the bach party.

Im hoping she'll understand. I just think it's too much for me. If we were going to the city for dinner, then that would be fine. but NJ...i'll be stuck and so far away from home. Not sure I want to do that. I just dont want her to get upset with me for not going.

thanks. I appreciate your honesty. but it was weird because when she called me to tell me about it, she didnt' ask, she just gave me details of what and where and when we're going.

NJ (meadowlands) is only about 15mins further than the city so if you would be ok with going to the city then I would go to NJ.

Ditto. I went to a bachelorette party @ 12 weeks and sort of sucked for me. No way would I go at 7 months. If she doesn't understand... she will when she gets pregnant!

I would ask if she would mind if you didnt go.
If you feel you need to go I would drive and leave early if you get really tired.

I would talk to her and tell her you are just not comfortable going. I would hope that she would understand being that she is your best friend. If she doesn't understand now, she will certainly understand when she hits the 7 month mark.

I am 7 months, as well, and I wouldn't feel comfortable either. I think you two having a girls' night after your babies are born is a great idea! Like the post before me said, if she's your friend then she should be understanding.
Good luck!

I would def go...youre not going to be in a limo for 7 hours, youre going to a horse track and you can sit down and at dinner you sit down.

I went to my best friends bachelorette party in AC at 8 months pregnant and had a great time! We went to the pool during the day and out at night. Granted I got a few looks on line for the club lol but we didn't stay there all night and i left the next bar a little early but IIt all depends on you though. I had a nice pregnancy and felt like myself other than being tired. there was no way I was missing it for my best friend as long as I was feeling good.
With that said, I know she would have understood if I didn't make it!
I will add, for me personally, as pregnant as I was and felt it was still 100 times easier going anywhere and doing anything before the baby came than after!!!
