Bad Baby Fever

I think it might be bc of halloween and seeing all the cuties come to my door yesterday but I have bad baby fever. I mentioned it to dh last night and he started talking about money and all the realistic reasons why we are not ready... grrrr why am I so irrational !?!?

I dont think anyone is ever prepared to have a baby. I think it comes as is. Once we forgot about the financial aspects (except of course if you are in dire straights) of having a child, we learned to redistribute money where it belongs. You can do the same if you choose. AND yes...the kids were adorable!!!!!!

I've had bad baby fever since the middle of the summer. I'm still waiting to get this thyroid surgery. Then, I'm all set, I wanna get rolling (literally )

I think I may have baby fever too I'm not telling DH yet..... he would try to have me preggo in 2 seconds....

Wait a little while, if the feeling becomes stronger and you really feel your ready, talk to him about it again..and BTW, no one every has enough money........

I am feeling the same way. I'm pretty sure DH would prefer to wait until the student loans and mortgage are paid off and we have a no debt what so ever.



We actaully sat down and discussed this on Monday and he finally is giving in on waiting for the "ideal financial situtation" because it isn't going to happen! We agreed to go off BC in January - this may be the longest 2 months of my life!

Last night we watched Knocked Up, and after watching that movie, it reinforced all the reasons why I'm NOT ready to have kids yet. Parts of it just plain scared me! (Although I did find the movie quite funny.)

i don't think you're being irrational. when your DH is ready, he will realize that you just make it work. i am not a mother yet, but i don't think there is any amount of $ that will make you ready for kids.

You can borrow my toddler for a few days, that will throw you RIGHT off babies until the both of you are ready.

But in all seriousness, there is no right time. You just have to wait for an almost right time.

Thanks for all your support .... I just talked to DH and he said that once we are done paying off our debt which will be 6 - 7 months we will go off bc and let nature take over

My DH has been fighting me on this for a while, though we're officially TTC for a while now too. He always said he didn't want kids until he was 30 (though I have no idea what's so magical about that #). He'll be 30 next month. We've been trying but no luck so far
I thought the same thing yesterday as I watched all of the princesses and cowboys, etc... come to my door. The most adorable little witch came to my door and my heart literally melted. Then I called my brother's kids and longed for kids even more.
My DH used to tell me we weren't in a financial situation to have kids but I kept telling him to get that out of his head b/c no one EVER has enough $ to have kids--- you just make due w/ what you have.

We've both got it!!!! And seeing babies and kids in their costumes didn't help!!

We're waiting until we're more financially stable, I know you're never "ready" but we want to be more secure than we are now.

we got it!!! And we are going for it...it we wait for the exact time to be ready...my ovaries will be like dried up prunes!!!

IMHO, if you wait to you are 100% ready you may miss your chance. Our parents did it with a lot less than we have now, and with a lot less thought put into it, and our entire generation turned out fine!!!! If you both are on the same page with having kids...the rest will work itself out...it always does!!! Good luck!!!
