Re: Bad Baby Fever

I sometimes wish I could say that.
I don't have any desire for babies lately- and even though rationally I know that's ok and everyone is different- I just can't help feeling there is something majorly wrong with me!

I dont think anyone is ever prepared to have a baby. I think it comes as is. Once we forgot about the financial aspects (except of course if you are in dire straights) of having a child, we learned to redistribute money where it belongs. You can do the same if you choose. AND yes...the kids were adorable!!!!!!Chat Icon

*nods* I was 17 when I got pregnant (not on purpose) with our daughter & 18 when she was born. Ok, it hasn't always been easy, but my daughter is 100% healthy & happy & none of us has ever gone without anything. I learned to budget really quickly. Now, 2 years later we are married & things are going well. We live in an apartment & I'm still in school. I know some people would call us crazy, but we're happy & I wouldn't change a thing.

My parents have 4 kids & my Dad says all the time that they always thought they "weren't ready for another" or "couldn't afford it" & they always made do. I really don't think you can ever be 100% prepared for having a child.

Re: Bad Baby Fever

I have baby fever too, and I don't even have a boyfriend Chat Icon

I have a plan with a good gay friend of mine that if I'm not married in a few years we will have a kid, which helps me feel better and not like it will never happen. If I could do it myself now I would, but I know I couldn't.

I say, if you are in a happy marriage, go for it! There is not really a perfect time to have a baby, and you will work it out somehow. Good luck!!

Re: Bad Baby Fever

If DH and I waited until we had the money, we would never have kids.. We were going to wait and Thank God we didnt, b/c i cant imagine life without my Sammie..
