bad day...just got worse.....
that because I work for myself, getting work done is optional, so if they ask me for a favor, I should drop everything? They don't bother to ask for a similar favor from someone who gets a set amount of leave time and a set pay check. I don't think I mind being asked but I am seeing that they will not ask someone else who is actually more suited to take care of this favor. I know, I'm not giving specifics. Sorry.

........and I am in a bad mood because I have had a few things go wrong today PLUS this favor PLUS I am really trying to observe Passover and when I get stressed I love to have a soda and some crackers or pretzels. At this moment I am in awe of anyone who has truly quit a habit.

To top it all off, I have been waiting all day for Verizon to come to my office because I cannot make or receive calls on the fax line. The owner of the builiding was here all day, too and he kept offering to let Verizon in for me but I wanted to be here to test everything. Well, Verizon was a no show. Verizon says that their service person was here and found no problem at the network interface and he left. First of all, I have been checking out my window for them all day and my landlord's desk is right over a window that has all the phone boxes and neither he nor his assistant saw Verizon. Second, I was told that someone had to be here for the technician and he would be coming inside no matter what. They wanted to charge me $95 for the technician's alleged visit and the line is still dead. I ripped their heads off and now they claim I will not be charged but I still have no service and now I don't want to use their tech people.
