Bad Mommy Day
So today DH and I took Lucas to the beach. Such a beautiful day.
We got there and the hat Lucas usually wears wasn't really fitting on his head... guess it must have grown lately!!
Anyway, we tried to be good with the sunscreen, but when we got home we realized that Lucas had a sunburn on his cheeks just under his eyes.
I feel sooooo bad!  Let our little guy get sunburned.
One more bad mommy moment to add to the pile!

Oh he will be just fine!! I find it humanly impossible to chase DD around at the beach all day and get all the spots on her body with SPF.
Sometimes she has a slightly red arm.. sometimes an ear.. its hard!!! 
Dont be to hard on yourself.. he has no idea and I think little kids look cute with a little color on their cheeks

I swear, I am going to buy gallons of sunblock next year, fill a tub, and soak DD in it before we go out, for this exact reason. I'm always worried I'm going to miss a spot, it's sooooo hard to know, esp. when they won't sit still!
He'll forgive you, I'm sure

i forgot to sunscreen DS's ears one time when he was wearing a hat, and the tops of his ears got burnt!

you're not a bad mommy
I try to be as religious as I can about sunscreen and inevitably I miss some spots (usually right under the eyes or the ears).
I feel bad too but I can't beat myself up about it. It's not like I didn't try.
It's ok..he's gonna be just fine!!!
