baked ziti with chicken???
I am making chicken cutlets tomorrow night....I was thinking of making baked ziti thurs, and adding the leftover chicken to it....do I just throw the cooked cutlets in the ziti and cook it?
Also, does anyone have a good ziti recipe?

Re: baked ziti with chicken???
I cut the cutlets up into bite sized pieces and just throw them into the mix.
I don't have an exact recipe for the baked ziti, but I will recommend that you use some freshly grated provolone with everything (if you like it that is). I use mostly mozarella and throw in some romano and parmesan, but the FRESH provolone really adds a little something extra. Provolone in the bag is not as potent as the fresh. I use about a cup give or take.

Re: baked ziti with chicken???
I made baked ziti for the first time yesterday and it came out really, really good!
Here is the recipe I used:
Ingredients
* 1 (16 ounce) package ziti pasta * 24 ounces ricotta cheese * 1 pound shredded mozzarella cheese * 1 egg, beaten * 1 (32 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce * 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and rinse. 2. In a medium bowl, mix ziti, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, egg and 1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce. 3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). 4. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and spoon in ziti mixture. Top with remaining spaghetti sauce, followed by Parmesan cheese. 5. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes; let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
If I were adding already-cooked chicken to it, I'd just cut it up and put it in the mixture before dumping it into the baking dish.
BTW, it says you need a "medium bowl" but you really need a very large bowl to prep in.
