Bakers please come in
I bought green icing for my DS bday cupcakes. If I add a little yellow food coloring will it turn more like a lime green?

Yes but be careful, it may not stand up, per se. Your best bet is to buy white frosting and use yellow and green paste/gel colors by Wilton instead of the McCormick drops and get the color you want. They're drier and won't make the frosting drippy.
You can always try the yellow in the green using gel colors and if it doesn't lighten, add powdered sugar and a drop or two of milk.

I don't think it will really change color. I agree with coloring white icing with a gel food color from Wilton's. The drops mixed with canned frosting doesn't look great, it can turn grainy.
