Baking with coconut oil
Does anyone use this for baking? Can I replace veggie oil in recipes with coconut oil? Does it change the flavor or texture?

Baking with coconut oil
I just started using it. I replace it with any oil, and I melt it first. I didn't notice a coconut flavor...when I used it though it was anew recipe so I don't have a comparison for texture.

Baking with coconut oil
this is good to know! i made granola bars this weekend and it called for a cup of canola oil. i am looking to elimate veg/canola oil b.c of gmo and wondering if coconut oil would change the taste or texture. i have not yet bought coconut oil but will buy some soon!

I love coconut oil, but I'm not a big fan of it for baking. It takes longer to bake and I don't like the consistency it creates. I like butter better for baking :)

when and how do you use it?
what about for using it in granolar bars?
the recipe called for canola oil and this time i wanna use coconut

I think you could use it in granola bars. I just don't like using it for things like muffins and cake.
I use it in oatmeal, cooking, smoothies, eggs, etc.
