Bank of America customers - did you get
replacement ATM cards in the mail? Because according to them, some accounts were "compromised at a 3rd party location"  
I am so annoyed..not only at the fact that my info may have been stolen but also that I have had my ATM card # memorized for 7 years!

Yes I got one and I called BOA to confirm that they sent me one
Dont forget to call any place where you have automatic withdrawls to your ATM card each month IE: gym mebership, etc...

This happened to my husband last week. Hmmm I wonder if it was a glitch in their system. They said that a 3rd party tried to use his card.

We have Citibank and my DH got a new card last week for that same reason. I didn't get one, tho.

I used to have a BOA acct, but left (too many fees). But this happened to me without any notice! When i called to inquire I was told the same thing.
We had the accts for 3 yrs, in that time I think DH received 3 or 4 new ATM cards!
ETA: Was told that my card may not have been effected, but it was a precautionary thing. They said a place i used my card may have had an issue. Does that make any sense?

Yes, I got a replacement cardin the mail a week ago.
I called Bank of America asking if this was a real or part of scam.
They said to me , periodically they will send out new cars.
I said its never happened before and I have been with your bank for years.
I said to my husband....that must have been a cover up line....Why would they go to the exspense of sending out new cards...unless they know they screwed up.
