Bank question
Situation:
I take my 16 year old son to the bank so he can opena checking account. My name is not on this account.
Son runs overdraft fees. Who is responsible for them? Me, since I am the parent? Or him, since my name isn't on the account?
Sorry, the son is 16.

Re: Bank question
I would think him, that is assuming he is over 18

Re: Bank question
The son is responsible no matter the age. His name is the only name on the account.
I have a nephew who just turned 17 yesterday and he had tons of overdraft fees for his account (forgot about the $1 - $2 fee for ATM use). There is no way my sister would pay those fees for HIS account.
