basal body temp

is there a reason the thermometer is so big?? it says oral on the box but it is so big i thought it went somewhere else
do you just keep it next to your bed? what do you do if you get up first and forget to temp? after o if you conceive are the temps supposed to stay up? sorry new at this

Yes keep it by the bed and don't get up before you take temp, it is supposed to be resting temp, no water, nothing, just open your eyes and stick it in your mouth, wait for the beeps and there you go!
