Fever/Elevated Temp question

For the last week at least DD has had an elevated temp of 99.5-100.3 on and off throughout the day/night. I'll take her temp, than an hour later she's cool as a cucumber again, then a couple hours later she's warm.

Should I chock this up to teething?

Her bottom gums, eye teeth are so white and her gums near her 1 year molars are swollen.

Did anyone else DC have a temp like this with teething?

She's never ever had this before with teething and shows no sign of ear infection, i dont' thinkChat Icon

ETA: In the last two weeks she's only woken up once screaming, but otherwise she sleep 11-12 hours a night.

Re: Fever/Elevated Temp question

You know this happened to my son a couple of times. He would have two to three days of a fever of 99 to 100 with no other symptoms. When I mentioned it to the doctor they said technically it is not a fever. However if it persists for more than 3-4 days I would call the ped.

Sometimes their little immune systems are fighting something off on their own which never really develops into much else. I don't believe the theory of teething= fever and neither does my ped.

I don't believe in fevers with teething either, especially since she never had a temp when her other 6 teeth came in. SHe never had a low temp like this.

Today though, No elevation at all...right around 98.6-98.8

Maybe she was just fighting a phantom virus. Today would have been day 5.
