basement - water issues
Who did you use for fixing flooding issues?
Our basement flooded on a side it has never flooded on before, so we have to rip up the floor and basically start all over again, I could cry. . seriously. It's our playroom for DS and now those toys are back upstairs in our office, which we were suppose to start clearing out b/c we have to make it his big boy room since baby #2 is on it's way. It's a nightmare.
We're going to try and see if homeowners will cover some and then are thinking about a french drain possibly. Any have to do this?

We put in a french drain before we finished our basement. So far, so good!
What is your deductible for your homeowner's? JMO, but I wouldn't go through insurance. I can't imagine the expense being that much, plus you do not want to give your insurance company any reason to drop you.
