Basement leak from wall *UPDATE*

We have a leak in our basement. It is clear that it is coming in from one of the walls (probably from all the rain and the saturated ground). Who do I call... Someone to fix the foundation or someone else? Any recommendations? Please help!

*Update: Thank you all for your advice and recommendations. Foundation person came and it's not the foundation! It's the chimney!!!!! I think the bricks need to be pointed. We do not need a new liner. Asked our roofer who we love for a recommendation. Chimney guy coming for estimate soon! Yeah! I 'm so relieved.

I would check to make sure your gutters in that area arent clogged and the land isnt sloped near that wall. If it is then that needs to be corrected before contacting someone to waterproof the wall.

Re: Basement leak from wall

For my basement/garage we had french drain people come.
The garage ended up needing something more extensive, so we had excavator/drain people come.
I'm not on LI so no recommendation.

You need to call a foundation repair/basement waterproofing company. If you want a recommendation, let me know.

We just went through a major repair of our basement and foundation and I feel like I talked to every company on LI.

Can you tell me who you used?

We have a similar issue to the OP and it's ongoing, but we don't know where to start to fix it.

Sure, no problem. We had 7 different companies come to look at our basement leaks. The first 6 all stared at it and basically said they had no idea where the leaks were coming from. They told us to rip out the floor above, rip out the basement wall, put a trench (french) drain in, put a sump pump in. Finally the last company came and they are the only ones who figured it out. We've been dry now since they did the work. I highly recommend:

Re: Basement leak from wall

Dunno if this helps but we used to have water coming from a basement wall during heavy rain and couldn’t figure it out. When we had our siding redone, we found the culprit. In the front of our house, we had a brick facade going halfway up the house. When that was ripped down, you could see directly into the basement !! Literally there were 4 holes (the wrong side of a cinderblock type of holes) going directly to the outside. We had that fixed and sealed properly and then new siding put on. Haven’t had an issue since.

Don’t know if you have brick facade or if that part of the basement, if you look outside can see any cracks - that could be it.
