Bathroom Renovation Labor Cost?
We have to re-do a bathroom, it is about 5 x 8. The room needs to be gutted. All fixtures, the window and the sink drain pipe need to be replaced. We are only adding recessed lighting. They will also tile the bath area, simple work no excessive cutting and a backsplash behind sink. We are supplying all the materials. Just got a quote for labor only at 6k, he claims they will be done in five days max. Is this good? The same guys did my kitchen for comparatively way less but it took them much longer. They do good work but I'm on a tight budget and don't want to spend more then I have to.

DH said that's too high. He does this for a living and said it could be done in 5-7 days but def could do less than 6k. Maybe they are charging so much cause they figured they'd lure you in with the max of 5 days??

Re: Bathroom Renovation Labor Cost?
I think its a good price for a gut and complete re-do but I think that is a really quick time frame. My brother is a gc and just re-did our bathroom. He worked bascially 12 hours a day (which he wouldn't do in someone else home) and its took 7 days. Granted we did have one day downtime waiting for the plumber to come. Our bathroom without paying any labor was 4,700 just for material and we didn't do anything fancy. Just a new shower, tiles, vanity, flooiring, lighting, green board sheet rock, new door and fixtures.

This is exactly what I think. I plan to get other quotes. Thanks!

I think its sounds high too and think the time frame seems short too
