Bathtub for 3 months and older?

DS has pretty much grown out of the sling part of the rainforest bathtub we have. We used it like it says for the next stage, but DS just slides around and it isn't comfortable. I looked at some other tubs, but I don't know if he will just slide around in anything else, or if there is something out there that is any better.
What do you use?

We used this tub from the time we brought DD home until about 11 months...then we switched to the inflatable tub in our bathtub...

We use this same tub. We had her on the slanted side until she could sit up and now she's on the straight side. She hasn't had any problems with sliding.

This is also what we used till DS was abut 7 months old, then switch to a bath seat.

we stopped using this one over a month ago b/c Ryan tries to flip it (turns around it in Chat Icon ). We now just have him in a ring suctioned to the bath. It's a bit of a PITA when they can't sit up on their own consistently, but safer than flipping tubs.

lol...jess. i can just picture Ryan flipping the tub.

Anyway, DS is 7 months and still in the rainforest tub without the sling. He just lounges with his but on the seat and feet in the big part. He is almost getting too big for it...then I guess I wll try the ring, until I can do the inflatable tub in our bathtub. Dreading being on my knees!!!

We use the same one as above and I put a washcloth under DD's hiney for traction! Chat Icon

Re: Bathtub for 3 months and older?

we used the Safer Bather for both our girls from birth until 4 months old. Then we used the Safety 1st New Tubside Bath Seat. I loved them both!

I used a plastic tub for 4 1/2 months with my son and I hated it so I never used one again.

I don't have a photo, but Eurotub is really good. It works with older children too who are still too young to sit in the tub--DS was trying to crawl in it, and I couldn't wash him.

BRU carries it and probably BBB does also.

Re: Bathtub for 3 months and older?

i use this same tub as the above pictures and Ava uses the slanted side.. "newborn" side i think its labeled and she seems ok and she is 3-1/2 months old now. Someone mentioned here about putting the washcloth under their little tushy for traction def. would work I bet! Maybe if a washcloth is too tiny, try placing a hand town all along the bottom of the tub or maybe just quit the tub all together and do it the old fashioned way.. the regular old kitchen sink! DD is 11 months old and we still use the one pictured above. I don't think we will be getting rid of it anytime soon, she loves it.

Re: Bathtub for 3 months and older?

We use the blue one above too. Ryan loves it. We used the newborn net for a while. When he was about 9 weeks old and clearly too big for it we switched to the newborn side (its labeled).

Once he is sitting on his own I'll probably just ditch the tub all together.
