Being that I seem to be the only one posting about it...
Is ANYONE going through a screaming baby?? Or do all of you have little princes and princesses?
I feel like I'm the only one with this problem

You are absolutely not the only one! My daughter is now 1 and still drives me nuts some days. Everyone told me after 3 months it will get easier and I didn't believe them, but it did. Hang in there and go take a breather when you can.

Re: Being that I seem to be the only one posting about it...
it gets better, mine just whines now
One night I almost called a neighbor over to take him. I just moved there though, she did not speak English and it was 10:00 at night, so I just called DH at work and cried.

Well, I can't relate because Cailen was perfect!!!
they all go thru their screaming fits.... There were days/nights where I thought for sure I was going to throw myself out the window. Now that he's older and eating more, it is a lot better, but every baby goes thru this. Its the most difficult part of pawrenting, but wait until she smiles at you - its like it erases all those horrific hours!!!!

Uh NO. Christopher screamed every time he was gassy. And I thought I was just going to have to live with it. Until he was 8 weeks old and I asked the ped and he changed the formula. And honestly, he is soooo much happier that even my dense DH noticed today.
Talk to the Dr, but you are NOT alone

Re: Being that I seem to be the only one posting about it...
welcome to motherhood with a "spirited" baby!! I had a difficult baby for many months & struggled a lot. At 11 months she still screams her head off like a maniac sometimes when it's time to nap. I won't even tell you about the lengths I go to at naptime!! I read every book, listened to all the suggestions, called the ped. numerous times... to no avail. Sometimes I cried harder than she did. Luckily, when she's in a good mood, it's truly amazing. Some babies are just a handful!! Good luck!!!

Re: Being that I seem to be the only one posting about it...
I must have missed your posts.
My daughter had colic. it was awful. there were many days when I was crying right along with her. i tried everything to make it better, finally i tried the one thing I thought my doctor was joking about - tuning the tv or radio to static. the white noise helps them to drown out other sounds and they don't get so overwhelmed.
When she was 3 months old it got a lot better.

Re: Being that I seem to be the only one posting about it...
I had two weeks where I thought I was going to lose my mind.
Turned out he wasn't getting enough milk from me, so we started to supplement with formula after I breasfed.
Then I finally got my happy baby.
There's a solution out there for you too, I hope you are able to find it soon.

Emma used to cry every single night for a couple of hours. It has passed though, thank god! Now she's an angel baby. Or Princess Emma as DS calls her. I think my son cries more than her now and he's eight!

Re: Being that I seem to be the only one posting about it...
no..not at all...
I had mentioned dd was so bad with colic she screamed every 1 1/2 hours until she was one*** the twins--Jake and max have reflux and Max is all better on the new formula-poor Jake still suffers anywhere from every 2 days to a couple times a day--blood curdling screams...
edited to add---its the last couple of days my poor baby can't get a break=he seems hes in alot of pain lately.

you're not alone. While both my kids hit bumps in the road the first year, I am having a really tough time with my almost 14-month old DD. You have to remember that through it all, you have a sometimes happy smiling baby under it all

Dd cried for her first 8 months.
I don't respond because reading your posts about it brings me right back and I cringe.
I am sorry- I know how you feel and it WILL pass- dd is great and happy now!

Re: Being that I seem to be the only one posting about it...
I haven't seen your other posts yet...but my DD was a total screamer for the first 6 weeks (turns out she had a milk protein allergy.) At 4 months she was sick and screamed constantly for the entire month (I don't even think I have any pictures of her from that month) oh and then this weekend (7 months) I believe I had a post titled "Please make the crying stop..."
So you definitely aren't alone!!!!!

Re: Being that I seem to be the only one posting about it...
My little beauty is the perfect baby during the day - but she refuses to sleep at night. She'll get up around 2am and is usually screaming and crying until 6 or 7am. I feed her, and try to get her to sleep, but she's wide awake for most of the night. We're trying to break her of this by keepin gher up more during the day, so she'll at least be tired at night - but it's a struggle, as I'm exhausted when the morning comes from not sleeping all night long! It's tough! I've had to call my parents and have them take her just so I can get rest. I fet like I was giving up when I did it, but I need to keep my sanity, and they love time withtheir granddaughter. They say it gets better - let's hope so!!

I posted about a screaming child just last week. He has his good days and his bad. Last week was rough, but he seems to be doing better the past several days. I am hoping that it was just a growth spurt.

Re: Being that I seem to be the only one posting about it...
My DS cried for the first 5 months... ALL THE LIVE LONG DAY!!!!!!!!! And even still at 18 months he cries when he wakes up from his naps, cries if Daddy doesnt hold him 24/7, cries if strangers look at him.. the list is endless and the older he gets he just seems to find new things to cry about. But I find it all worth every min.!!!!!!

Re: Being that I seem to be the only one posting about it...
I had nothing to compare my dd's crying to, so I just assumed that babies cried all the time. At dd's one month appointment I asked the ped "is it normal that if she isnt eating or sleeping that she is crying all the time?"... winds up she had collic. With a change in formula and her pooping much more frequently, she is a different child now.

Not alone, DD was colicky and was always crying for the first 3 months, half the time it was inconsolable! Finally I turned the vacuum on one day and she shut up!

Re: Being that I seem to be the only one posting about it...
Please never think that you are alone. My MIL's first child had horrible screaming episodes and no one ever believed her because he looked so healthy....she started taking people up on their offers to watch him and very quicky they understood what she was saying.
DS for the most part is a good baby but he has his moments. I know that isn't much consolation but in those times (usually between 5:30 - 9:30) I spend just as much time crying as he does. DH and I run around like idiots trying to figure out what to do.
