belly button ring

So just realizing that my belly button ring may be getting in the way...LOL.. Did anyone leave their's in the whole 9 months? If you took it out, did the hole close up?

I took mine out 3 years ago but it didn't close up.

I wish I had never pierced mine now. It stretched so bad as my tummy grew. I'd suggest you take yours out just in case your tummy does the same as mine, i can't imagine how it would be comfortable.

Be careful. My friend waited to take her ring out, and then after she did it didn't close up. She ended up with an infection. I would take it out now if I were you so it has time to close up. I took mine out 4 years ago, and it still isn't 100 % closed up.

I believe they sell maternity belly button rings. I know some mommies that kept them in using the maternity rings for 9 months.

I took mine out the day i got a bfp...to be honest with you i dont even know where my belly button is anymore

I took mine out at 28 weeks. The hole closed, but at 37 weeks it is still red and ugly as could be. Because my belly was growing at a rapid rate that late into the pregnancy, it didn't have time to properly heal. I was too sad to take it out any earlier....but, I should have. I bought the maternity ones. I can't imagine having it in though because the skin is so incredibly tight in that area, it would really be an inconvenience and possibly even sore and tender all the time.

I took mine out around 12 weeks I think, just bc it was getting annoying, rubbing up against my pants and stuff. But I have had it pierced for 9 years, so there is not a chance it will close up. New skin has formed underneath, so the skin can't fuse back together. If you've had it for a while, it won't close. If you are worried about it though, they sell pregnancy belly rings, which you can wear through the whole 9 months to ensure that the hole doesn't close up. Not sure where to find them, but you could definitely just Google it!

it may or may not close. it totally depends. if u dont want it to close they sell plastic maternity rings. if its not bothering u...u can prolly keep it in.

ive had mine for about 8-9 years and took it out when i was around 6-8w...it seems to have closed. but i had the smallest ring and like never moved it/changed. but u can still see where it used to be.

I left mine in the whole 9 months. I used the maternity belly ring from 7 to 9 months. I only took it out for my c section and put it back in the next day. I never had a problem with stretching or pain or anything.

I took mine out right after BFP. But it is sooo ugly right now..i wish i never got it pierced. Hope it comes back to a semi normal state after the baby...

i left mine in till 28.5 weeks. i only took it out because i was having ultrasounds weekly and i had a home contraction monitor at that point and it was getting uncomfortable and in the way. (i had a hoop in) i took it out and was glad i did. because i BLEW UP around that point. i thought it would have closed. i went to my 2 week pp check up and had already put the ring back in and it was just fine like i never took it out!
