Besides South Beach, what are some nice areas of Miami

to stay in? good hotels...not too expensive. in other beach areas?

I stayed in Miami Beach with a few girlfriends about 8 yrs ago.
We would take the bus to South Beach which was about 5 miles away.
I was in charge of booking the hotel and I thought Miami Beach & South Beach were the same

Can't remember which hotel we stayed at though. I think it was a Sheraton but not sure.
But I hear Fontainebleau is gorgeous.

There's Miami Beach which is a little more family oriented than South Beach. There is Key Biscayne - which is really nice but a little more residential.

Not directly on the beach is Coconut Grove which has a lot of stuff going on but again, it is on the bay not the beach. (but it is clos eto Key Biscayne).

Obviously, further north there is Ft. Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pompano Beach etc.

I am originally from Miami and my entire family is still there so I am really familiar with it.

Stay in either Miami Beach (25th street an up), they have many hotels there. The Fountainbleau resort is newly renovated and good for families, we will be staying there in May...

I also love Key Biscayne & Coral Gables
