Re: Best & Worst parts of your job
Car Insurance Company
Best: Lots and lots of holidays/days off, 15 minutes from my home.
Worst: Pay stinks, my supervisor is now up my butt 24/7 for some odd reason, due to budget cuts I have to do more than one job.

Re: Best & Worst parts of your job
Best: My colleagues and my students. Worst: The fact that my work is potentially endless... I have to stop myself from working on grading, lesson plans, etc, otherwise I'd be doing it 24-7.

Re: Best & Worst parts of your job
Best: I like the work I was trained to do, and the days when I actually get to do said work. I get to be outside a lot. I love my boss.
Worst: Politics and having to pacify people

Re: Best & Worst parts of your job
Job: Assistant Secretary at major apparel company
Best: I love my company. Excellent employer, great benefits, paid well, wonderful boss and colleagues. Great associate discounts, half day Fridays in the Summer, lunch paid when I work at my desk, etc., etc.
Worst: I have a work-a-holic boss who forgets how much I actually do. Hence, I'm still here at 6:15 when I started at 7:15 this morning. I have also had to cancel vacations when we've been doing various deals.

Re: Best & Worst parts of your job
Job: Asst. Manager of Sales & Marketing / Product Development (for a food manufactuer)
Good: Close to home, great boss who lets me know how much she appreciates what I do (and makes sure the president is aware too), rarely boring, often the day flys by.
Bad: Too much "crisis management" due to understaffing, poor planning and difficulty getting information from other departments, mediocre perks, not enough vacation, no coverage on my job so during vacation the work just piles up, salary freeze for past 1.5 years - hoping it's lifted in time for my upcoming review.

Re: Best & Worst parts of your job
Job: Psychologist
Pros: I LOVE what I do! I love helping people and there is sooooo much variety in my particular job. I do consultations on the medical units in a city hospital (I am who comes when the MDs call for "Psych"--like on ER). I work with kids, adolescents, adults, geriatrics. I see all mental and physical illnesses.
Cons: I work with the smelliest, most disgusting Psychiatrist. He is lazy, totally Narcissistic and contantly complains about everyone, yet he is the biggest problem. And, the money sucks!

Re: Best & Worst parts of your job
Job: Lead Chemist in Formulations & Applications
Best: I love the actual product formulation and seeing products I created on the shelves (and even on LIF posts) Also, very very short commute (4 miles) EXCELLENT benefits
Worst: #1 is the pay, I am so underpaid it is not even funny. I like my basic job, but not my company right now. Love the benchwork, but hate the paperwork, customer service, and regularoty work. Company was recently bought by another large company. Much of the upper management (directors, managers) has left and not been replaced, therefore I am second in command right now STRESS! Travel with very short (sometimes next day) notice.

Re: Best & Worst parts of your job
Job: Executive Assistant-Large Financial Company
Best: My Boss-she worked her way up to where she is and gets it. I'm given a lot of freedom and autonomy. My other boss is a big Yankee fan and really cool and we talk about Yankees before business. Very good pay, very good raises and bonuses. Excellent benefits and free financial advisor services.
Worst: The commute and I wish the hrs were a little shorter although I am allowed to work from home ocassionally which really helps.
