Best breastmilk freezer storage bags?
Lasinoh? Medela? Amada? Other?
Reviews online claim that Lasinoh and Medela leak upon thawing. What has worked or hasn't worked for you?

I used the Lansinoh ones and never had a problem with leaking or anything else.

thanks ladies - and after thawing, did you just pour the milk into a bottle or did you put the whole bag into a bottle directly? I'm confused as to how it works.

I use Lasinoh and never have a problem.
I pour the milk from the bag into the bottle and then toss the bag.

I've used the Lansinoh ones with my oldest daughter and now use them with my baby.
This time, I am exclusively pumping, so we use a ton of them.
We did notice one or 2 tiny leaks upon thawing in the first few days, so now, when we want to thaw a frozen milk, we put the frozen bag in one of our regular drinking glasses to thaw...if any milk drips out (which does happen occasionally), we can use the milk that has leaked into the glass because it's clean...it's not leaking onto the counter or anything.

I liked Medela, Lansinoh and Gerber. I didn't like the First Year's bags, I had issues with opening them.

Lansinoh. Liked the easy pour spout when you squeeze it. I've poured into a bottle while in the car and not spilled.
ETA: (if you didn't know already) When you freeze your milk, lay it somewhere flat on it's side like on top of a box of pierogies  Then after it freezes, you can store them standing up like frozen index cards! Stores more in less space and thaws a lot faster.

That's funny -- the lansinoh bags always leaked for me when I defrosted them in the fridge. I like the Gerber ones best.

I used the Lansinoh and Medela and found the Lansinoh to be much better. I tried the Gerber ones once and hated them...
I did have a few that leaked, mostly the Medela, but as another poster said I put the bags in a ceramic bowl to thaw so whatever leaked out could still be used.

I've only tried Lansinoh and Medela.
The Lansinoh are great because they hold a lot more milk, but my DH has said that they often leaked upon thawing (he was a SAHD for the first 6 months).
The Medela haven't leaked for us, but they only hold max 5 ounces.
