Best formula for breast fed baby?
I wondering if there is a certain formula that's closest to breastmilk composition/taste. I have to start taking medication and I need to switch my 8 week old to formula for a little while. I want him to be able to transition easily. Thanks!

The hospital started my DS on Similac Advance (I was both breast feeding and formula feeding) It says that it is closest to BM...as far as taste goes, I'm not sure that any formula will taste anything like bm because bm is sweet

I use the Enfamil Newborn nursettes, they go to 3 months and then after 3 months we will switch to Enfamil Infant formula, we have to supplement because DS eats more than I can produce.

i have twins and supplement with the infant enafil without problems - they get fm every other feeding
used enfamilt o supplement my son and it was firne when i went back to ebfing

I dont think it matters but check with your ped if you are concerned- DS is mostly breastfed, we supplement about 1-2 bottles a day and interchange with similac and enfamil

Yeah I think Good Start says the same thing.
I started on Similac at the hospital
Then switched to Good Start.
I BF & supplemented for the first 3 months before going to all formula.

My DS is BF and I supplement with Similac Sensitive. He actually loves the taste of it. He now gets 1-2 bottles a day and he sucks it down!

Formula that is really closest to BM is Enfamil
Best formula for supplementing I think is either newborn or gentlease. Gentlease works the best in my opinion...
