oh, I have strong opinions on this topic 
this sophistocated foodie's favorite cake is fudgey the whale (with 2 layers of chocolate icecream, no vanilla) and extra crunchies  (carvel)
me too! this is the bday cake i request.. i also get it with choc crunchies around the outside instead of the nuts

We have always gotten Baskin Robbins cakes for birthdays etc.
very family member has their favs but mine is pralines & ceam. MMMM sooo delish.
DH's fav is mint choc chip cake!

Ok, so, my hubby went in to order my fudgie the whale cake today, and the guy behind the counter hd no clue what he wastalking about. He said that you couldn't get whateverce cream oyu wanted. And when he looked on the Web site he couldn't find information about it there.
So my husband just bought a premade one. We had it early, tonight at it was really good. The fudge is yummmy!!! It's disappointing it's not exactly the way I wanted it but at least it still tastes good!

that's just wrong  I can't believe the guy behind the counter is so  You totally should have been able to custom order a cake from them a few days ahead of time.... We've been doing that for decades!

In Bay Shore (and Now In East Islip) there is a great Ice Cream Shop called Coyles.
Coyles makes the most AMAZING, AWESOME, TO DIE FOR ice cream cakes ever.
I like the Chocolate Raspberry and the Mississippi Mud Pie.. but there is nothing in the world that comes close to the Banana Split Cake. It's all different ice creams, chunks of banana, real cherries, pieces of strawberries, nuts and frozen hot fudge. My guests go ape when I serve it.
I 2nd Coyles. When we have office parties, we always get the Banana Split Cake. It's a big hit and it's delicious!

we just had Friendlys ice cream cake for the first time on Sunday and it was Delish! I never had it before and was pleasantly surprised!
