best over the counter prenatal vitamins
so the doc gave me a presciption but i just found out (called insurance company before i dropped it off) that its $35
looking for something that is close to prenate essential.
busy at work so i dont have time to do a search

I take the nature made brand. They sell them at target and Duane read and are only $9 for 90 pills. They are also easy on my tummy which I really appreciate.

I have tried three and so far my favorite are cvs brand b/c it has two bottles, the vitamin plus dha. The vitamin is coated and tastes like strawberry (although I still gag taking it) the dha pill goes down easy.
It cost me $30 at the time but I bought one and got one free. (60 day supply)

I take the Target brand. Its a prenatal and a DHA pill. They are cheap and don't bother my stomach!

I take the Target one without DHA but take fish oil with it in that. Bought the target gummy ones also that have DHA in it and those were cheap also.

I've tried two- CVS brand and Duane Reade- definitely prefer CVS over DR- CVS is a little bit smaller and goes down easier (I'm not a good pill taker!).

Just an FYI...check the DHA pill.... it should be from non-fish. Its not such a big deal when TTC but I wouold switch to a non fish one once you get PG.

During my last pregnancy I took the over the counter CVS brand which were pretty good. My RE prescribed me Citranatal and I only pay $17 out of pocket and they are easier on the tummy.

I take CVS brand. I kinda feel like generic is the same when it comes to any vitamins or supplements.

when I got my bfp I ran to Target and purcahsed their brand of prenatals. I also purchased thier brand of DHA supplements. When I went for my first doc visit, I brought my vitamins with me to ask if they were ok to use.
My doc said absolutely !! She compared my target brand bottle to some boxes of prescription prenatals that she had, and the target brand had sooo much more vitamins in them than the expensive prescription ones !!

I take the Rainbow brand Prenatal 1 vegan vitamins. They are huge but you only need one a day and they don't upset my stomach. (I'm VERY sensitive to vitamins so these must be super gentle.)
