In Plainview and Merrick. Some of the best Pizza I have EVER had.
As a side note. I grew up in brooklyn. There is a pizza place on Ave j and east 15th. it IS the best pizza in all of NYC.
I am going to have to agree with you on this one. DH and I go to the one in Plainview! LOVES IT!!!!!

Emilo's in Commack
Umberto's of new hyde park (locations in greenlawn, lake grove and new hyde park)
I tried Colosseo in pjs and I wasn't impressed, Emilo's in MUCH better, but since I live near there now and Emilo's is only near my work I have to settle for it

I think Colosseo is pretty good, but I don't see all the fuss about it.

I haven't found one in LI that I love. They've all been okay. The best for me is in Hollis, Queens.

Best in Queens IMO is Amore Pizza in Flushing..melts in your mouth

I haven't tried too many pizza places...but I think La Piazza is great and I also went to one called D'Angelo on Willis Avenue in Albertson, (I think??)..that was pretty good as well.
If you like coal pizza...they have Grimaldi's in Mineola...sooo good!

i love thick and doughy! Aegean gets my vote, too. (for regular)
Emilio's has the absolute best sicilian.

massas in huntington. I love coal fired pizza in general. i hate typical LI pizza store pizza that sits under heat lamps and it huge slices. Well not hate, I like all pizza. I just can do without it. I also love almost any brick oven pizza, like bertuccis. And, surprisingly, I love dominos new super thin crust pizza. other than brick oven places and coal fired places, they are the only ones around me that have fresh mushrooms and thats a must on my pizza. If a place gives me rubbery mushrooms I don't consider them a real pizza place. LOL.

Joe's in Holbrook. I think it's their sauce that just makes it soooo good!
LOVE joe's... I come from the bronx so its pretty hard to live up to my pizza standards but they come close enough!

Pizza Supreme on Stewart Ave in Garden City. If you grew up on LI and remember Broadway Mall when it was Mid Island Mall, you know the pizza I'm referring to...gotta get the square slice!
