Best place to look for a nanny position?
I know someone who is looking to become a nanny and has looked into Care.com & Sittercity.com. Anywhere else that could help her find something?

Re: Best place to look for a nanny position?
Personally, I think a word of mouth or forum post recommendation helps. I found my two nannies through word of mouth and I know of others who find theirs through other moms (esp. active ones who regulary post) who post about nannies they no longer need but highly recommend.
I've tried looking for nannies on care.com but never followed through 'cus I am wary of hiring some stranger from a website.

This is my issue with care.com. I don't want to do since I went back to work full time and I need to find a nanny/sitter who can pick my son up from school, take him home and do homework with him. We tried after care this week and it was a disaster that I don't want to do it in September. Thankfully that was his last full week of school.
I don't know how I am going to find someone in NJ who can do this since my family is in queens. K totally vented and side tracked this thread. Lol
I would agree with word of mouth, people feel safer that way. Spread the word.

Live in or live out? If live in, post an ad in the Southampton Press.
