best prepared meal for after baby
A friend is having a baby soon and we are setting up a schedule to delivery meals.
There was no specifics on what they like/don't like.
What would you want to eat?

A friend made me baked mac and cheese, hers was done with spinach and artichoke. It was amazing and I could freeze what I didn't finish.

Oh also, my mom stayed for a few weeks and when she left she froze sweet and sour meatballs, and banana chocolate chip muffins. Those lasted me a while too!

a tray of baked ziti was awesome cause my husband and/or I could just heat some up whenever we had a chance. And who doesn't love baked ziti?

First of all this is so sweet of you and your friends. I would make anything easy to freeze--soups, chili, lasagna, chicken cutlets, red sauce.

Chicken soup, quiche, scones and muffins-- these were my favorites the first few days home with DD.

I agree with these. Before my DS was born I made baked ziti, chili, meatballs, sausage, breaded chicken, and floured chicken and froze it. I had meals for like 2 months! They were so easy to reheat.

DH's uncle brought us over a tray of lasagna after DS was born. I thought that was such a great gift and well appreciated! So my vote is for lasagna.

Baked ziti, lasagna.
Pot of sauce with meatballs, it is easy to just boil a pot of pasta.
Sausage and peppers
Chili
Different soups
