Best vehicle for rear facing car seats??
We'll be looking for a new car this fall/winter and I was just wondering if anyone has a car/van/SUV that they are able to fit a rear facing seat (infant and convertible) behind the passenger without having to have the passenger seat moved up a lot?? I have a Jeep Grad Cherokee and with both the infant seat and now the convertible the seat needs to be moved up quite a bit which makes it uncomfy for both my husband and myself (we're both pretty tall).

I have a crossover - a Buick Enclave. It has Captains chairs in the second row. What I love about this is that they also slide back and forth, so I can actually move the second row seat all the way back so that it doesn't impact the front passenger seat.
I would just personally look at each vehicle you are interested in to get an idea.

Re: Best vehicle for rear facing car seats??
You mean directly behind the passenger seat (not in the middle)? my prius is fine with the carseat in the middle.... no issues. I'm not sure about the fit if it were directly behind the passenger side, but I suspect it wouldn't be too different....
I should add that some carseats take up more space than others.... DS has the priori, which isn't a huge seat... some britax seats are enrormous....

Oh that's a good idea with the captains chairs. I honestly have no idea what I want. I've been thinking about a Suburban, but I think that might be TOO big and it's so $$ (not to mention the gas mileage stinks). Then I was looking at minivans but I really don't know if I am a minivan kind of person I have awhile before I need to make a decision but I wanted to start researching now.

I had no issue with moving the seat up in my Xterra and I'm tall, so I'd be cranky about it if my knees were hitting the glove compartment.

Wow, I didn't realize there was that much room in the back of a Prius I have a Priori (in DH's truck), but I like the Evenflo Triumph that I have in my car better and that is a bit bigger then the Priori.

We have a Jetta and have the car seats behind both the driver and the passenger seats, and there is plenty of room.
