BEWARE of Major Facebook Virus!!!**update at bottom.
I am on the laptop now because our home computer was wiped out!! Everything!!!!! All my pictures, everything BabyAvocado's DH is trying to fix it but I dont think there is hope. I am so so sad. Years of pictures, gone

Don't worry yet!!!! MY pc bit the hard one in November; hard drive is FRIEEED but the geek squad who S*CK were able to get all the data files- music and pictures too!!!!! Hope you have the same luck!!!

my computer at work got slammed last week. I have no idea what I hit, I am pretty careful about what I click but extra careful at work. sheeshhh...it took the IT guy 4 days to get it cleaned up.

My brother used a company in Lindenhurst to fix his. $90. works like a champ now. I hope you won't need it though

I have used that company too. They are good. On Wellwood Ave in the Outback shopping center... Fixed my laptop 2x!!!

I almost never allow applications because I have heard that many of them carry viruses. I usually hit "Ignore all"

I never open any of the applications. They're not sanctioned by Facebook. The Pieces of Flair application gave me the Trojan virus on my computer.

I just played the quizzes the other day and I have the freakin virus !! I dont know where it was from but dont mess with anything on FB anymore !! I am going to delete my account

I got hit with a virus back in Dec and the guy who repaired my computer said, don't click on any of those quizes, groups, etc. So now we don't at all!

thanks for the warning.... I'll refrain from those games, quizzes, and groups....
just a friendly reminder:
everyone should routinely back-up their computer on an external drive, just in case the worst happens (virus, worm, spill, breakdown).
we back-up everything on our 2 computers... and important files are on both of our computers, so it's copied in 4 places.....
on that note, I'm due for another back-up... so I'll do that now!

My husband and I used our Mac when we access Facebook or going to surf the web. As a precaution especially if you saved pics on your computer, should definitely backup files, pics or music that you want to keep in an external drive.

Yes. We had 2 and it only caught some of it.
It turns out it is a virus from the Russian Mob. They are doing it to get CC info and other personal info.
So scary!!
Thank goodness BabyAvocado's DH got all our info back!!!!! All 7 yrs of pictures and info!! He fixed everything:)

We had that happen last year and after the computer was fixed, went right out and got an external harddrive to back everything up.....
