BF baby who does not like paci?
what can I do? I nurse DS and he does fine then at the one and half hour mark he gets fussy b/c he's tired but he can't fall asleep unless we nurse again though this time it's clear it's non nutritive b/c he'll just nurse for a few minutes at the most and nod off. But we've tried pacis and he seems to not like them. It doesn't work. He hates the swing and though he doesn't mind the bouncy when he's content he still gets fussy in it when he gets tired. Looking for suggestions. Since I've got 2 other kids 5 and 21 mos nursing again to sooth him doesn't seem practical to me or else I'd just indulge him which I've been doing.
Is there a particular brand I should try that would closely replicate a human nipple?

Re: BF baby who does not like paci?
My DD was bf'ed and never took to a paci, and I tried all of them. She also never took to a bottle either.
Have you given him a bottle? Try whatever bottle (if you do) brand paci's, that might work!

I have the same problem, and the only one DD will take once in a while is the soothie. Have you tried using your finger?

Re: BF baby who does not like paci?
I've been going through the same thing! I know w/older DS he never took the paci either, but with the two of them now it would be more convenient if younger DS would take it (since nursing to sooth is very inconvenient w/a toddler running around). Have you tried swaddling?...I found it helps (at first he hates it but than seems to find comfort and sleep longer once he does). Also during the day I have him sleeping in the "rock & play" sleeper I slightly rock him and leave the room he seems to sleep better in it (maybe b/c his head is elevated?)
