BF moms what do you eat/avoid eating?
I always hear that bf babies are supposed to be less gassy but I feel like my dd is always gassy. I haven't been eating many vegetables so I'm not sure what it can be. I think frozen yogurt bothered her one day. When I looked up online what to avoid it basically lists everything! Chocolate, bread, dairy, veggies, citrus fruits, what is left to eat!?!!???

Nothing lol.
I am on a dairy free diet because they "think" DS has a dairy sensitivity. So I found a whole line of dairy free products in Whole Foods.
You don't have to cut out all veggies...just stray away/limit broccoli & cauliflower. Chocolate is on the list because it contains caffeine..that's the culprit lol.
I didn't read anything about bread..I think that's okay..I have it all the time.
Just have everything in moderation and you should be okay. HTH

If she is very tiny-under 4 months, I would just stay away from whatever is considered gas inducing in adults. Broccoli, cauliflower, cherries, grapes, cucumbers etc.
Once she gets a little older you can eat all those things in moderation but at first it's best to stay clear.
ETS: Dairy definitely causes gas some she could be sensitive to that, especially if you didn;t eat a lot of dairy during pregnancy.

Re: BF moms what do you eat/avoid eating?
I eat EVERYTHING!!! I guess in that aspect I am a little selfish. I do curb my caffeine intake. If I have 1 cup of coffee, then I won't drink or eat anything with caffeine (i.e chocolate) and if I pig out on chocolate I won't drink anything with caffeine. DS was a little gassy in the first month but has been fine ever since! (I think it was due to the formula I supplemented with in the beginning though)

I limited caffeine and alcohol, but that was really it. I just watched for signs to see if something upset DD--dairy, veggies, spicy food. Nothing did, so I never worried. Oh wait--1 more thing--I don't have any fish with mercury, so no tuna or anything like that.

Stop and shop has alot of dairy free products in the organic section. We've been trying that since my DD is very gassy and the dr's first guess is the dairy.

I try to limit some of the gassier foods like broccoli. I also try to limit eating fish with high mercury levels. Other than that, I don't avoid eating anything.
