BFing mommas: Shooting pain + lumps in breasts

I've been BFing DD for over 8 months. Since returning to work 2 months ago I nurse her am and pm and pump once at work. This past week or so I've been getting hard lumps in my breasts and random, sharp, shooting pain. It also hurts a bit more to pump. I've checked both of us for any signs of thrush and there's nothing (she went to ped on Friday too). After I nurse/pump I notice the lumps get much smaller, but they are still present. I'm assuming clogged ducts? I had a VERY bad clogged duct with DD1 but after a lot of pumping/nursing/massaging it went away. These lumps only get a bit smaller but never completely disappear and it's sore to the touch.

I will say I'm on the minipill. Wondering if thiose hormones + BFing hormones could be causing this? Anyone every have a similar experience?

Well the shooting pain sounds like thrush in your milk ducts. You can have the infection inside, but not outside. (I had this for months).
And the lumps obviously sound like clogged ducts. I would talk to your ob. and get a serious rx of diflucan. I was on a 14 day treatment. with acidolophis (sp)
